Turning

I sat with a fleece blanket wrapped against the chill of the morning air, knowing that the days of summer have taken wing along with the geese that have been honking farewells as they fly overhead. I sipped my coffee hot, journal in hand, seeking what the Lord wished to share.

The season are changing as they always change. Try as you might you cannot stop the passing of time. Remember the song:

The secret of life is enjoying the passage of time
There is wisdom, true wisdom there, for child, you cannot control what is in My hands.

So the flowers will cease their blooming. The show of coulour will be over. But this isn't death, little one, for even in their season of dormancy there is growth you cannot see. I Am always at work - nourishing roots, protecting seeds, bringing times of rest.

So too do I work in your life. When there are no outward signs be sure that I Am working beneath the surface, unseen, but with great purpose.

Do not fear the coming cold - remain in the warmth of My presence.

Beautiful post and a lovely reminder. It's so important to not just look at the outside - there's so much more going on internally. I love the pictures that God gives us in His creation. Blessings!
