Life in spice

Spice scattered
to awaken
life
beat away
numbing fog
the gray of
time spent
time lost
time gained
traveling, battling
on my knees

So I shake things up
with prayers
bold and brave
while I chop
simmer
taste and stir
Saved in jars
for a colder day
bite of peppers
beneath the tongue
a strong
and solid
Yes!

Hope is the truest spice of all. It wakes us up to all the life that's always around us. Thanks for the post.
