All for His glory

The day between the rains dawned cool
the road through the park wore a cloak of fog, thickening
the only way to reach our destination
was through
so mile by mile we trusted
pressed in, moved on
and found the sun

After an afternoon of errands
goals accomplished
laughter, conversation and a meal shared
we turned for home
driving into the bright of the skies
as again clouds drew themselves close together
Back in the park
there was no fog to mask His beauty
how He picks colours
to blend into a perfection
all other artists
simply imitate
As we drove the last road home
I found myself
awed to a surrendering point
praying to remember
with all I speak, or write, or do
I am not the centre
this world is not of me, or for me
but always all and only
for His glory
Let the name of the Lord be praised,
both now and forevermore.
From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets,
the name of the Lord is to be praised.
The Lord is exalted over all the nations,
 his glory above the heavens.

Held in the fog

This morning I was drawn outside with the camera even before my quiet time with the Lord.  I wanted to try and capture the softness of the fog that had settled over our land.  When I came back in and opened my journal, this is what He shared with me:

Yes, there is beauty in the fog as all the edges blur. I know you seek clarity but can you see that I might want to cradle you in this softness?

I will keep you safe.  You will see enough to navigate but I shield you from much of the harshness.

You have spent much time on the frontlines.  This then is part of your rest and time of renewal.

As things mute, blend and shift, enjoy the beauty as new sights unfold.

I will show you things you have not yet seen.

Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand) Jeremiah 33:3 Amplified

Saturday morning in May

I woke to a foggy view outside my window as I sat down to my morning time with the Lord.  As I picked up my journal and pen, a hummingbird came to the feeder, but seemed unable to relax.

Here is what the Lord had to share:

Just as the hummingbird continued the frantic beating of its wings until it finally realized it had landed on a perch that would hold it - so too do you continue to strive and fret even though there is rest and safety in My presence.

So I say - come and drink.
So I say - come and linger here.

When fog settles in, and it will, for the prince of the world loves confusion; instead of straining to see and make a way -

wait for Me to bring clarity and light, indeed it will break forth in My perfect time.

And you shall be secure and feel confident because there is hope; yes, you shall search about you, and you shall take your rest in safety.  Job 11:18 Amplified
