Five Minute Friday - Catch

On Fridays the Gypsy Mama asks us to dive in and write for five minutes only.  She says:
We write bold and beautiful and free. Unscripted and unedited. We just write without worrying if it’s just right or not.
This week her word prompt is catch

I could take a net
catch
a butterfly
take a rod and reel and catch a fish
a surf board to catch a wave
dry twigs and leaves as kindling to catch fire

Someone throws a ball your way
catch
gossip, rumours, idle words,
catch
No, don’t open your heart to let them in

I didn’t intend
to catch a cold
yet the past days I have sniffled and snuffled
and coughed and trembled with chills
I caught it but I don’t know where to throw it back

But wait…
there is a love
unlike any other
and He wants to share
He’s blowing kisses
that drift on the breeze
catch
store them in your heart
in your spirit
save them for the rainy days that are sure to come…

Come on over to Lisa-Jo's to see what others have shared...

Where's HisFireFly?

I've been running around town today and not at the keyboard much.

But I have been flitting about in cyberspace. Please come see me flicker at the following places today:

I'm talking marriage at Exemplify Online.

Forgive or stay mad?

“Don’t talk to me now. I’m still mad at you.”
How many times have you heard that? How many times have you said it

I'm also guest blogging at Peter Pollock's Rediscovering the Church

I sensed the Lord saying “Don’t you realize the world is watching? When your fingers type, your tongue speaks”

After I catch my breath I'll be back to share more about what the Lord's been saying the past few days.

The latest Flickering FireFly Award

Shining for Christ

It's time for me to announce the next recipient of the Flickering FireFly Award, an award to recognize bloggers who shine the light of Christ for a watching world.

Sharon at The Reservoir is certainly not hiding her light under a basket, but flickering for all to see! Her words teach and encourage both her readers and those people lucky enough to be in her midst.

Congratulations Sharon, grab this little picture for your blog, give it away to others who are lighting the way with a link back to me please, and keep letting your love for Jesus shine!

Another Flickering FireFly

Shining His Light
It's time to give out another Flickering FireFly. To read about the latest recipient of this blessing go to The Power of Your Love where I join with Beth and others to praise our Lord.
