what August taught

The days of August end tomorrow 

and I am joining Emily 

in recounting some of the things the hot month had to teach me:

So, in no particular order, I learned that:

God cares about every detail in our lives in nothing too small

old bows to new in opening doors

things are not always what they seem in broken promise 

alone doesn't mean lonely in loneliness or solitude

I must trust His timing not my own in at this moment

God loves each of us best in chosen first

I have no time for regret in birthday thoughts

grief lingers in notes to Mom

there is beauty to be found in all things in even in dying
