True prayer

True prayer is measured by weight,
not by length.
A single groan before God
may have more fullness of prayer in it
than a fine oration of great length.
C. H. Spurgeon

I love this quote! Spurgeon always spoke straight to the heart. Beautiful photo too. Blessings!

God knows are inner most thoughts, doesn't He. Thank you for sharing.

This is comforting. A good reminder, it is not a formula of words, but the heart cry that He hears. Thank you!

Joyce Meyers tolks and writes about this---how our prayers do not have to be long and flowery. My prayer life got much better after I realized that often, even in prayer, simplicity is best.

Wonderful quote and picture.:>)

So true. And I'm so grateful that He listens to me when I have a single, solid groan.
