the other night, these words came
waking me
again and again
slicing watermelon
to find sugary
goodness
runs like water
to refresh
leave the knife
in My hand
allow Me liberty
to work as
I will
and trust Me
a touch of salt
to the flesh
makes the juice
flow sweeter
hanging out at the bar with the poets

wow - you make my mouth watery... and what a cool connection to god's word as well
a touch of salt in the flesh does make the juices flow in watermelon and....smiles...
usually a summer treat here...
Messages from God can be found everywhere...if only one opens one's eyes and heart.
The salt really is what is needed.. that's a great metaphor.. and this came to you in your sleep
Love this, the power of truth to change a heart, salt on the flesh to bring new life. This is powerful and excellently done
really liking that salty metaphor.
Beautiful. A poem to make one think. Nicely done.
sounds yummy
Provocative words made more meaningful by the fact that they came to you in the night.

At night is often the best time to receive messages as there aren't many distractions. I think I'd enjoy
a slice of watermelon now..smiling..
Watermelon can be very pleasant and most welcome, especially during hot summers. I enjoyed your metaphor.
The best often comes in sleep... This is wonderful! ~jackie~
So very beautiful. I love the parallel between the useful knife and the sweetness of the watermelon!
Very good. I love your connections and how you bring us to the Word.
