Not quite Spring

It is again a time of waiting
Spring drifts in skittish
her fragrance lingers
only brief moments
before taking flight

taste and see
taste and see
sweet mingles spice
yet He Is good

rain chills the air
refusing to fall
new growth awaits
the water
and the warm

each page I turn
speaks of surrender
letting go
letting Him

while the April winds sing

patience is a lesson that takes a lifetime to learn...

Noticing Him everywhere with Jennifer

and Emily

Patience. It is indeed a hard lesson to learn.
I'm waiting on the arrival of warm weather, not just a day here or there. Ready for the cold to take flight :)

I'm not very good at waiting patiently, and this tease of spring--the back and forth of sunny and warm and dreary and cold--it sure can get to me. And yet I know spring always comes, it always has. And I know God will keep his promises. You'd think that would make me more patient, right?

keep turning the pages and let that mantra fill you as you do...and spring as well with new life and possibility...

Patience is a hard lesson!
i love the repetition in this, the "taste and see" the chant I must take up daily.
Thanks for sharing this!

*nodding* He is good, even when we have to wait to see it!

I love the spring and it's promise. And I love Him more. Patience, indeed, is a lifelong lesson. I fail at it so often. I'm ready for final exams.

Spring, for me, is the season that beckons me most to slow down, to savor, to breathe in deeply its fragrance. It is full of newness, and hope, and the promise that God redeems the most despairing of things -- even me.

I'm glad you linked. I feel the hope of spring in this place.
