My beloved speaks and says to me,
Rise up, my love, my fair one,
and come away.
For, behold, the winter is past;
the rain is over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth;
the time of the singing [of birds] has come,
and the voice of the turtledove
is heard in our land

Such a pretty picture. I'm visiting from Still Saturday. I love your blog title. I've only seen Fire Flies one time. We don't have them in Washington.
I just love that
about our beloved:)
thanks for the lovely share,
Jennifer
Sweet pansy. And that was my fil's nickname for my mil. Spring is here. And I am glad. (Though it's pretty chilly today.)
So glad winter is over . . .lovely photo.
When I see the pansy flowers smiling at me, all I can do is smile back. SofS in Amplified is an amazing reading. God used it as a way to heal me about 28 years ago... read it many, many times in a couple months.
Pansies are such a happy flower. I had some in a window box once, that bloomed underneath a layer of snow. Undaunted by the white blanket, they bloomed happily, spreading their smile to me. They weren't going to wait for spring - they bloomed anyway!
Lovely photo and perfect for the verse. Thanks for sharing.
pansies are one of my favorites.
The detail in the photo is gorgeous!! I absolutely LOVE spring!! Around here, where I live, it's been slow to come and stay with us! this verse reminds me that spring is still guaranteed to come, even if it may be short!!
In His Lo♥e, Ann
