The moon was full

Sunday night
clouds cleared
the presence of the full moon
filled the yard
drifts of snow on glittering display
in the frozen chill.

Our eyes could see more
than they camera lens would capture
in the light
and the chill
of the moon
so full.

The magnificent spruce
that crowns our front yard
seems to have lost it's head
to the camera
when indeed branches reach up
almost high enough
to touch that same moon.

A reminder
that there is so much more
than what we think we can see
and the Lord we serve
continues to entreat us
"Look up. Look up and find Me."

After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” Revelation 4:1 NIV

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I appreciated the poem. Yes, our eye does perceive things the camera doesn't pick up.

Isn't it lovely that God has created us with an "eye to see"? And that he gives us so many gifts -- both words of beauty, and beautiful-things.

Thanks again for blessing us with your talents...the Father is so pleased with that kind of praise!
Happy Thanksgiving!
