there is a light

clouds press heavy
containing dark
threats of unpredictability
the air snaps electric
chills crack through
humid thickness
I hold my breath
waiting for the rain

yet there is a light
in the centre of the storm
a wind that elevates
allowing me to fly

hanging out at the pub today

even in the storm, there is a wind that will lift us, if we remember our wings...smiles.

To fly is nice. A storm is indeed coming. People are shameless beyond any standard. Better fly high.

Inspiring and very nicely penned. Wishing I could always find that light in the middle of the storm.

the light in the centre of the storm and a wind that lifts us up... it's good if we can still see it in those dark hours

First of all I love the hopefulness in this... the light in the middle of a storm. secondly the flow is really beautiful...

A beautiful metaphor. May you fly with an open heart and a new perspective on life.

Nice write. I particularly liked the bit about "threats of unpredictability"--but maybe because I was working my entry today and struggling with ways to frame the unexpected. In that line, you may have nailed what I was after. :)
