numb

media rush
news floods fresh
streaming video
words, images
instant graphics
and prayer requests

settling around me
not ice, not fire

its overwelming really..hard to process and think about all the devastation ...and selfishly we are thankful it was not us...and humbly we pray for those it was...

Indeed there is a numbness...so sad with so many dead, so many who lost everything. This poem is heartfelt.

Well written and so reminded me of the horror in Ok.

Wish to not feel it, but feel it so very deep, how to numb it...

We have to feel as that is what gives us our purpose and our light...
