this season of
the shortest days
the velvet dark deeper
than memory
recalls
a hole that pulls you in
fingers harsh, cold
muffled but not
silent
don't linger long
for there are gifts barely
hidden
how He scatters snow
like lace, the thick
and thin
creating space
for glory revealed
without apology
prompted by tweetspeak poetry
and hanging out at the pub

Love this. Great photo. And as always wonderfully crafted lines!
This is so lovely. How wonderful to share the beauty at a time when so many struggle to see it.
Thank you!
glory revealed without apology...smiles....scattering lace...there is always beauty and treasure to be found...even in the dark...
glory revealed without apology...i like that... being winter - being what it is - no excuses - there's beauty in this
When i see the Sun peek in on a cold blue day..
it's just as exciting..to see as the birth
of a newborn child...
Life is what it reminds me of
brave..and never fully
gone as long as it is
living.
Glad you picked up the TSP monthly theme. Nice sense of music in this poem.
The lace of winter snow... we know that beauty will grow underneath... love that
yes... what would we know of light without first the darkness... lovely imagery!
without apology! Love that ending.
Glory revealed without apology - I like this very much! Shows the action of God as he is....
Beautiful poem! I always feel Nature is the place to witness God's glory, whatever the season.

The photo of snow laced through the trees and the show of His glory without apology is beautiful!
