Trust not myself

The Lord gave me the words courage, focus and trust for 2012. He has given me new words for the new year, yet I believe I am not release the old words but continue to hold them close.

I am reminded of what He shared with me:

You are correct to place no trust in your flesh, but -- you can trust the Me in you.

With all your heart you must trust the Lord and not your own judgement  Always let him lead you, and he will clear the road for you to follow. Proverb 3:5-6 Contemporary English Version

I can't rely on my emotions to tell me the truth
they so easily lead me in circles, running wild, spinning
I can't trust my own understanding
when I realize each day that I understand less and less
but indeed I hunger to know Him more
that I might trust the Him within

Wonderful words that you received from God. I, too, have been given trust as one of my words.

Oh, yes! Learning to trust God completely takes a lifetime. But how sweet it will be to totally trust Him. By God's grace we will get there. Thank you for such an important message. Blessings to you on your journey of faith!

{visiting from Bonnie's}, What you wrote right here spoke volumes to me: "I realize each day that I understand less and less but indeed I hunger to know Him more..." Me too. me too. Thanks for stopping by my place with some of your encouragement. Today is a new day and I am already feeling better. :)

Amen, we can't trust our flesh or our feelings. Both are so deceptive.

I definitely need to trust Him in all areas too.

Many blessings to you today!

"Trust" is such a powerful word. That was my One Word for 2011, and God really met me where I was and took me at my word to grow in trust. It's a challenging word, and I also am still holding on to it. Thank you for sharing!
