Sunset on Lake Bemidji - September 2011 |
The days indeed grow short more quickly now.
The colours of the day grow more intense.
Brighter blues, deeper greens, the golden glow of the sun as it departs
all catch my eye and for a moment stop my breath.
Life spins, but in His hands.
I read love words written to and about @gitzengirl a woman I never got the chance to know
a woman who burned with love for her Lord
and the desire for all to know Him
the pain of thier loss mixed with the pain in her body
and the Lord teaches us how to mourn
and the Lord teaches us how to rejoice
She will soon look into His eyes
His glory falls in golden light
shared with Emily and the rest of the imperfect

Beautiful tribute to a child of God. And by the way, I love the name, Flickers of a Faithful Firefly!
God bless,
Bryan
Lovely words, and such a beautiful tribute. Your blog is a special place to visit.
I live about 45 miles from Lake Bemidji. It's a beautiful area.
Gitz was one of the first blogs I read long before I started blogging. What a source of joy and encouragement one found there.
What a precious tribute. I just came from her blog. I wish I'd known her.
wow... i didn't know sara until tonight. my heart is breaking...
Like Sandra, I just visited her site and read her story. Thank you for sharing the link and for the tribute to her.
She was a jewel…
I've been reading her blog for a long time already…
Thanks for this, Karin.
