baby steps

I am coming back to my life in baby steps
taking longer than I would like
I feel I was gone for months instead of days
for each hour stretched endless
anxious, aching

I curl into the arms of my husband
drawing on his strength
and this, right here, is my place in the world
called here, I belong here
part of what God created, one from two

I've come back to my life
home

“Haven’t you read the Scriptures?” Jesus replied. “They record that from the beginning ‘God made them male and female.’ And he said, “‘This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.’ Since they are no longer two but one, let no one split apart what God has joined together.”  Matthew 19:4-6 NLT

Oh, Karin, what a safe and wonderful place to be. You are blessed. Baby steps....I'm gonna have to remember that.

your journal entry entitled Always His- spoke directly into my heart today- as you have been encouraged after the darkness- so you have now encouraged me.
Thank You !
For us both:
“The Lord is my strength and shield.
I trust him with all my heart.
He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy.
I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.” Psalms 28:7

Dear Karen
As I was reading Jesus' words about not separating that which God has joined together, I suddenly realized how nothing will ever be able to separate us from our Lord when we have been joined to Him by His sweet Spirit of love!
Much love
Mia

I don't have a blog yet! I just receive truckloads of blessings reading those written by people like YOU :)
One day maybe- when I retire and learn macro-photography!

I love every simple, tender truth here in this poetic write. It is sacred and lovely. Thank you. And I am a big fan of baby steps. Always. :)
