Clutter to praise

Clutter is the word we're looking at for this week's Faith Jam.

I'm breathing deep, seeking clean, almost empty.
Trying to be clear of the voices in my head that whisper, snicker, shout,
never speaking truth

Now I can cast out the clutter of thoughts about the gamma knife radiation treatment I just went through this week.  With it behind me there is space for new things, positive things, His things!

The clutter of white noise, tinnitus that roars in my head will not go away, all the treatment can do is perhaps prevent things from getting worse.  I'd like to believe that I'll find a way to transform the noise into a type of worship.  From clutter to praise, for His glory.

Disconnecting

For a day or two I am pulling the plug, shutting out electronic noise. the click clack of the keyboard

The world will continue to spin, tweets will sing out even if I can't hear, status updates will scroll on though my screen will be black

I may or may not pick up a pen or choose to let my words be few as I listen instead

I will connect eye to eye, ear to ear, heart to heart, with my beloved and others the Lord has chosen

I will breathe deep, taking in each gift He offers, drinking more than my fill so that I may pour out again

As I run to His arms, know that I am in the safest of all places.
