His Road

As I sat down for my morning time with Jesus I was pondering the word Peter chose for this week - Road.  I knew that the Lord would have something to say, and I share His heart with you here:

Many claim to want to follow, to want to be like Me - but they don't really know what it is they are saying.

Few, if any would walk the road I've walked.

The hardest path, the way of sacrifice; each step an exercise in forgiveness and mercy; every inch an opportunity to grow ever more humble.

"Not My will but Thine be done" I cried out to My Father.

Will My people continue to pray "Lord, Your will be done, as long as it makes me happy - or wealthy - or powerful - or comfortable"?

While I wait, calling always in invitation "abide in Me".  I Am not hard to find - turn onto Surrender Road.

  1. Me! Me! Me! I!I!I!

Yes the road to surrender is not always our first choice. BUT, is should be! Surrender will help us avoid all the wrong turns! LOL! Thanks for a good post!

  2. I love Him and I do wish to be on His road, though I must admit to walking it rather slowly and tentatively at times.

  3. We have a road map for living life but so often we forget that. Or think we don't need it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts today. Life is definitely a journey.

  4. Jesus goes before us, and following Him is a joy, even when he leads through the valley, then up on the mountain, then a sad walk to sacrifice and surrender. May we be willing to walk where ever He leads us.

As we travel on the road our Lord has placed before us, it's nice to meet a friend along the way. Thank you for stopping to leave a few or many words, I'm always interested to read your thoughts.
blessings and love,
in His service,
in the fire,
