You rekindled a love for that passage again.
And the snow that still blankets your land in Spring was the reason I was so filled with hope and joy when I saw our orange blossoms. That snow that fell here a month ago and that I loved put fear in me that I might not have orange blossoms this year.
Thank you for reminding me in such a beautiful way that the Lord holds out the promise of Spring in the midst of winter.
Blessings,
JanisJanis Van Keurenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07291628430833626275noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5952217323580442767.post-86580837132586256492013-03-21T23:18:35.072-05:002013-03-21T23:18:35.072-05:00Yes, we still have a few clumps of the white stuff...Yes, we still have a few clumps of the white stuff in the yard, too, or should I say the muddy brown stuff, because at this point our snow is murky and messy. I LOVE your poem - had to read it twice just to savor all the beauty here. Blessings as you wait for those first blooms.Aliciahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11022107791689799322noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5952217323580442767.post-30055747608815406862013-03-21T22:03:50.809-05:002013-03-21T22:03:50.809-05:00oh I would do anything to have spring come right n...oh I would do anything to have spring come right now! we have heaps of snow piled around us... but trent was reminding me today to be thankful for all things, including snow. :) love you friend.Mommy Emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09989213786947802537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5952217323580442767.post-14841836940793872592013-03-21T19:47:00.076-05:002013-03-21T19:47:00.076-05:00Hello, HisFireFly;
thank you for this lyrical post...Hello, HisFireFly;
thank you for this lyrical posting! so visual, so clear, so moving! i love how you take me from the outside covering of warm garments to the inner warmth of a melted heart. SO good! "in this heart there has been a slow melting a drawing close to the flame and no external storm can silence His invitation." And we share a love for the same scripture in Solomon's Song. Seems it encouraged us both to step into that unknown with the substance of what we are hoping for; the evidence of what we don't yet see! I am praying for you. That the melt and blossoming is accelerated in your life. BTW - thanks for visiting and commenting on my posts at http://stillprocessing2013.blogspot.com/2013/03/spring_21.html .
