holding Canada close

one of the things that drew me
to the lake
was the opportunity
to drink in the sight
and sounds
of our common loons
at once peaceful and eerie
a wailing song of Canada
I allowed it to saturate
my heart, deep
anther bit of home
to carry on my journey
