No simple vow

More than a promise
no simple vow
we have sat
together
broken bread
held each other's hands
and hearts

We can not love
like this
without His blood
poured over us
rushing through our veins
love
flowing pure red
fresh and free
more than a promise

No simple vow
this covenant
He calls us to
to live His love
bright, shining

We, though, are going to love—love and be loved. First we were loved, now we love. He loved us first.  1 John 4:19 The Message

As we travel on the road our Lord has placed before us, it's nice to meet a friend along the way. Thank you for stopping to leave a few or many words, I'm always interested to read your thoughts.
blessings and love,
in His service,
in the fire,
