Try the blur

How much time
is wasted
in the struggle
to focus
the sharp pointed
search
for clarity

weariness falls
a heavy weight
that smothers

how much energy
consumed
in the finding of details
when perhaps
the greater beauty
is most obvious
in the blur

  1. That blur -- I've seen it, too. And it's often where you find the beauty. It's the sorting of that blur that's the challenge. Good poem.

  3. How often we pray for clarity in decision making when Christ wants us to trust Him in the chaos, confusion and blurry choices we have. What is faith/trust if everything is a perfectly clear choice? For we walk by faith, not by sight. Such a good reminder... thank you.

  8. "when perhaps the greater beauty is most obvious in the blur". yes, others have already pointed out how beautiful that line is, but i just had to say how much i love that idea, too. we can be a little OCD in that respect, always over-examining, when sometimes we just need to let it go and enjoy!
thanks for the beautiful thoughts this day.

As we travel on the road our Lord has placed before us, it's nice to meet a friend along the way. Thank you for stopping to leave a few or many words, I'm always interested to read your thoughts.
blessings and love,
