Salt - A Magpie Tale

He asks me to be salt
salt that purifies
salt that flavours, awakens taste
salt that creates thirst for Living Water

To pass through a narrow place
grain by grain
squeezed but not crushed

There seems so much time, yet
then in a rush, empty

How many chances
to be flipped again
before His final turn?

Salt is good for seasoning. But if it loses its flavor, how do you make it salty again? You must have the qualities of salt among yourselves and live in peace with each other. Mark 9:50 NLT

Stop by Willow's place to read more of this week's tales.

  1. BOY! I gotta THINK about that--how many times/turns are left.

It used to be between 1 and 100,000
Now it's more like between 1 and a few hundred???

    OK!
    READY!

  9. I like the notion of being salt in this world. And we do often have to pass through those narrow passages. Simple and profound. Great Magpie.

  10. Indeed, how many chances will we get? And will we know when it's the last one?

As we travel on the road our Lord has placed before us, it's nice to meet a friend along the way. Thank you for stopping to leave a few or many words, I'm always interested to read your thoughts.
blessings and love,
in His service,
