Day of memorial

Today at 1 PM we will gather for the memorial service for my father. It feels like much longer than 4 days since he slipped away on Thursday, yet I know he had been slipping away for more than a decade.

I will speak this afternoon, on his behalf, asking to be remembered as he once was.

I know there will be tears. I pray there will be comfort.

As we travel on the road our Lord has placed before us, it's nice to meet a friend along the way. Thank you for stopping to leave a few or many words, I'm always interested to read your thoughts.
