Frozen hearts

Robin at (In)Courage has challenged us to a creative stretch:

Write a haiku. Seventeen syllables (three lines--line one, five syllables; line two, seven; line three, five)--that's it! Set your poem in Winter, but you don't have actually to use that word; other than that, you're free to express yourself however you'd like.

Here is what the Lord led me to write this morning:

Hearts closed and solid
frozen to protect themselves
crack free for Haiti

Come join in here, add your haiku and be entered to win $25 at the (In)Courage shop.

  6. My heart breaks especially for the little ones who's worlds have been rocked. May the Lord, through us, not only meet their needs but somehow reach their little hearts for him too!

  16. This is amazing. I'm having trouble finding words. Our hearts break-- as His does-- and we can pour out love. Brokenness never easy, always necessary, always worth it.

As we travel on the road our Lord has placed before us, it's nice to meet a friend along the way. Thank you for stopping to leave a few or many words, I'm always interested to read your thoughts.
